Happy 4th of July

We spent the last couple of nights in Farmington, New Mexico. It is about 130 miles away and that is where the closest Honda dealer is. Can you believe we drive that far to have our car worked on? When we decided to move down here we bought a 2004 Honda CRV with 7,000 miles on it...it just tuned 107,000. We put 100,000 miles on it in 4 years - WOW! So because we drive long distances and because we are a single car family in the middle of no-where...we are religious with oil changes and maintenance.

I have to say that Farmington is not my favorite place in the world but (and this is a BIG but) they have a Target. When you don't live around a Target it is such a treat to go to one. While O was napping yesterday, I walked down the street and spent a couple of hours browsing - just browsing and it was lovely. I ate a hot dog and a sparkly fountain drink and browsed in Target. Sounds kinda crazy doesn't it?

Tonight we are meeting friends at the Navajo Nation Airport to watch the fireworks.
