I have been making most of O's food and what an adventure this has been. If you know me, you know that I am sooo not that into cooking. I really like to bake but the whole cooking thing is lost on me - now I like drinks and appetizers but let's leave that for another post. So how does a woman who really doesn't like to cook end up making her son's food. Well, I borrowed a book from my friend, Ingrid, and the rest is history. It has actually been pretty fun and definitely interesting to see how O reacts to new food. When I was popping a new batch out of ice cube trays a couple of days ago, I thought how pretty they were and decided to try and take a picture. This was no easy task but you can see how they look below...
And the flavors are...carrots, peas, avocado, peach, banana and sweet potato!

Seattle...
Ahhh...the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. I am not sure that there is a more beautiful place then a nice sunny day in Seattle. I think the reason they are so amazing is because they are so rare. The perfect combination of sun, blue sky, no rain - well let's just say it's a pretty amazing thing. You can imagine my hesitancy when we were making plans to fly up in the middle of May - I just knew it was going to be a soggy doggy trip. Eric was busy watching weather.com and keeping me up to date on what turned out to be a great green few days. Grandpa Ed

TOOTH!
I know, it's been a while since I posted. We had a HUGE surprise to pull off last week and just keeping that secret was tapping into all my extra energy. The Ali Crew flew to Seattle to surprise my momma bear for her birthday. You can well imagine the ensuing chaos that those 3 days were filled with. I think I got a total of about 12 hours sleep for the whole trip. It was sooo great to see family and re-connect.
I'll post more pix of the Seattle trip a little later...this mamma is tuckered out.
Well tonight MB was watching bath time on skype and she asked about teeth and said she hadn't felt any last week - I said I hadn't felt any either. I then proceeded to stick my fingers in O's mouth and low and behold MY BABY HAS A TOOTH! Holy cow, how do they grow up so quick? Feeling it made my heart beat faster and visions of sports games or ballet lessons, driving permits, college, dating, etc all flashed before my eyes.
I'll post more pix of the Seattle trip a little later...this mamma is tuckered out.

Weeeee're Baaaaack
Ohh how sweet it is to have our old reliable computer back. Here I can sit - at the counter and type away while little toots is rolling around the floor. Did I say ROLL! Heck yes, can you believe it. While we have not got the full 360 roll - we have the back to front down pat. I have yet to catch these rolls on film but soon...
